Hello Earth & Geodesy Educators
I wanted to draw your attention to the Earth Educator Rendezvous <https://serc.carleton.edu/earth_rendezvous/2019/index.html> this coming summer in Nashville.
The abstract deadline is March 13 (extended from March 3).
The early bird registration is May 1. 

GEodesy Tools for Societal Issues (GETSI) <https://serc.carleton.edu/getsi/index.html> project will be sponsoring a M-W July 15-17 morning short course that includes a $200 stipend for participants. 
Teaching Introductory Geoscience with Data and Math in a Societal Context <https://serc.carleton.edu/earth_rendezvous/2019/program/morning_workshops/w6/index.html>

If other travel assistance would be helpful, there are July 14 panels that one call apply for to earn $500 stipend - NAGT Activity Review Camp or NGSS GETSI tagging camp <https://serc.carleton.edu/earth_rendezvous/2019/program/sunday/review_camp.html> as well as regular travel stipends <https://serc.carleton.edu/earth_rendezvous/2019/travel_stipends.html> available for application through NAGT

The EER brings together researchers and practitioners working in all aspects of undergraduate Earth education, including a mix of college faculty, graduate students, and K-12 teachers from all disciplines who are interested in improving their teaching about Earth. Abstract submissions are due March 3rd <https://serc.carleton.edu/earth_rendezvous/2019/program/abstract_submission.html>. Check it out, and consider sharing your research, teaching ideas, and expertise!

There are multiple opportunities for travel support for EER, including participating in the activity review camp <https://serc.carleton.edu/earth_rendezvous/2019/program/sunday/activity_rc.html> ($500 stipend), NGSS tagging camp <https://serc.carleton.edu/earth_rendezvous/2019/program/sunday/ngss_camp.html> ($500 stipend), Marine Geology Using GEODE workshop <https://serc.carleton.edu/earth_rendezvous/2019/program/morning_workshops/w10/index.html> ($1,000 travel award) and general travel stipends <https://serc.carleton.edu/earth_rendezvous/2019/travel_stipends.html> ($500).
