You might consider using BINEX if you want to skip the runpkr00 step. I have not used BINEX in production from the NETRS. Lou could tell you where TEQC stands reading BINEX from the NETRS. It think is is pretty solid though.

You didn't miss anything; Trimble Europe is wrong ...

... and Steve is right. Same applies for the earlier .r00 format
and the slightly newer .t01 format (from 5700/R7, 5800/R8): you
need to use runpkr00 to convert to a .dat/.mes fileset first.
(You don't need the .eph or .ion files, and the .mes file is optional.)
