All,

(You know how it goes: you can't catch everything, so we're
trying this again ... Due to a bug in some new error checking,
teqc version 2008Sep30 would not get past RINEX obs lines with
large numbers of SVs being tracking, usually GPS+GLONASS, and
usually on data from Leica receivers. The problem was especially
noticeable during a qc of the RINEX.)

The latest development version (2 Oct 2008) of teqc is on-line:
http://facility.unavco.org/software/teqc/teqc.html#executables
As usual, save a copy of your current executable in case there
is some unexpected problem with the new executable -- but we have
been testing Solaris Sparc 64-bit builds fairly extensively in
actual production, and a reasonable amount of spot testing for
Windows and Linux builds for the last month.

The main fixes and changes since 15 Feb 2008 are fairly extensive
and are given in detail in:
http://facility.unavco.org/software/teqc/log.html
but I'll give a very brief summary here:

* default met observables is now equivalent to '-M.obs pr+td+hr+ws+wd+ri+hi'
for consistency with the Vaisala WXT510 met pack

* qc statistics now include first data epoch

* new qc alternate summary line, SWN, when windowing

* new qc '+L5' option ready for testing with GIOVE-B data or GPS
(in early 2009?) with upcoming launches of Block IIF SVs

* reading of NetR5 (still not officially supported) data with
RT17 data payload will not skip epochs with more than 12 SVs
being tracked

* reading of new Septentrio SBF records with GLONASS data and
navigation messages

* '-tbin' [and associated optional '-ast'] now available

* '-ns' and '-ne' options (which have been in the code for a long
time) now listed in the '+help' output

* new '+rssc' (== "report site survey changes") option

* new '+force_dBHz' option, to force SNR interpretation from certain
formats to be dBHz (to be used when you know the SNR values are
dBHz -- but teqc does not know that)

* decoding and encoding of BINEX on Mac OSX build now fixed

* problem when translating Leica MDB or LB2 with negative GLONASS
frequency channel numbers is fixed

* '+relax' option use for reading problematically formatted RINEX
has had the number of situations it handles expanded

* a Vertex/ARM (Gumstix) Linux build is available for testing

* various bug fixes

Please report any abnormal or unexpected behaviour.

cheers,
--lou
