If you have any besides GPS data, you should be using COMPACT2:

[966] teqc +help | g compact
   +plot    write 'compact' plot file(s) (default if GPS-only data)
   -plot    don't write any 'compact' plot files
   +plot2   write 'compact2' plot file(s) (default if GNSS data)
   -plot2   don't write any 'compact2' plot files
...
