[teqc] next official version of teqc on-line (2018 Jan 11)

The next official version -- 2018Jan11 -- of teqc is on-line:

As usual, save a copy of your current executable in case there is some unexpected problem
with the new executable.

The main changes and fixes since 2017 Sept 15 are given in detail in reverse
chronological order starting at:

but here's a brief summary about the main changes between this release and the last one:

- during qc when GLONASS ephemerides are available, the GLONASS SV positions are
now computed using the GLONASS ICD methodology by default (automatically setting
the '+GIo' option); if you wish to compare results with the previous polynomial
fitting methodology, use the '-GIo' option

(Note 1: I did not receive any feedback on this change, as per my request in
https://postal.unavco.org/pipermail/teqc/2017/002375.html

... so you are all going to have to rely on my own testing.)

(Note 2: This will be the last release with the GLONASS polynomial fitting methodology.
All of the related C code for it is going to be stripped out.)

- long-standing bugs that (depending on the situation) were preventing Windows
builds from reading binary stdin or writing binary stdout (e.g. BINEX) have been
found and fixed

- during qc when SBAS ephemerides are available, SBAS SV positions are now computed
using the same methodology as for GLONASS (with appropriate parameter changes)

- during qc, '-unheathy' (= "don't use SVs marked as unhealthy in their ephemerides");
in order to use unhealthy SVs, you must use '+unheathy'; for more information, see

- There is a new qc indicators in the ASCII time plot; see in `teqc ++sym`:
     K = position solution is uncertain
Additionally, if '-ap' and '-eep' are not use, '+ap' and '+eep' will automatically
engage when this condition occurs for the rest of the data epochs.

- If reading BINEX, esp. via stdin, you can use the '+latency' options to see
the time delay between when records are created on the receiver to when they are
read by teqc on your computer:

         +latency .           output time latency measurements to stdout
         +latency ..          output time latency measurements to stderr
         +latency name        output time latency measurements to file 'name'
         ++latency name       append time latency measurements to file 'name'
         -latency             don't output time latency measurements (default)
Successfully using this option requires that your computer's system time be synced
to a standard UTC time server (e.g. with NTP).  For more information, see

(Note 3: This option can possibly be extended, upon request, to other formats that
can be streamed.)

- new '+x_tilt' options  outputting external tilt data (2-axis tilt and sensor
temperature):

         +x_tilt .            output any external tilt data to stdout
         +x_tilt ..           output any external tilt data to stderr
         +x_tilt name         output any external tilt data to file 'name'
         ++x_tilt name        append any external tilt data to file 'name'
         -x_tilt              don't output external tilt data (default)

(Note 4: The tilt data, currently, is only extracted by YXXDR NMEA strings.)

- A qc bug not letting teqc read multiple RINEX nav files from the same constellation
with the '-nav' option has been fixed. (This bug crept in between 28 Feb 2017 and
10 May 2017; thus it was in both the 2017Sep1 release and the replacement 2017Sep15
release.)

As with the 2017Sep15 version, some builds are not available with this release:

- any HP-UX builds (due to a lack of access an HP-UX system for compiling)
- the Borland build for Windows; instead, use the Mingw-32 bit build
- the Mac OSX i5 gcc 4.2 64-bit build; instead, use the OSX i5 gcc 4.3 64-bit build
- Solaris Sparc 5.9 builds
