On Wednesday, Nobel laureate Dr. Leon Lederman died. He was 96.
You've probably noticed I've been using a quote from Dr. Lederman
in my email signoff -- for the past 25 years. At the core of his
question is a firm belief that all phenomena in the universe are
understandable by physical laws, ultimately bound in a "Theory of
Everything" which, when complete, will fully describe the universe.
It is remarkable the degree of progress physicists have made during
Dr. Lederman's lifetime, of almost a century, towards that goal.
And Leon Lederman's contributions were a major part of that effort.
