The Department of Geosciences at University of Arizona seeks to fill a
postdoctoral research position in the area of Tectonic Geodesy. Project
areas include the central Mediterranean, western North America (United
States and Mexico), and other tectonically active regions throughout the
world. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in
fieldwork, perform data analyses and modeling using a high-performance
CPU-cluster, and publish scientific results in refereed journals.

Candidates should posses the ability and willingness to perform fieldwork in
remote locations around the globe, and the ability to solve complex problems
independently. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Geophysics or a
related field, and should have research experience in the areas of
tectonics, geodynamics, and/or geodesy.

Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating experience with
high-precision GPS data processing software (e.g., GAMIT/GLOBK, GIPSY,
BERNESE), geophysical inverse theory and statistics, geodynamic modeling,
and/or computing and scripting languages (e.g., Fortran, Perl, UNIX/LINUX).
