Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Satellite Geodesy (InSAR) (Full Time)

This NERC-funded position is available immediately for a fixed term period 
of three years, ideally beginning by January 2008.

You will use satellite radar interferometry (InSAR) to measure the active 
deformation across the Afar region of northern Ethiopia, where a major 
rifting episode took place in September 2005. You will join one of the 
largest and most successful university geophysics groups in the UK, and 
will be part of the NERC-funded Afar Rift Consortium, comprising 
scientists from 5 UK universities and collaborating partners in Ethiopia, 
the US, France, and New Zealand. You will be responsible for the InSAR 
processing chain and integration of the results with other data sets. You 
will have a PhD and research interests in satellite geodesy. Previous 
experience of InSAR processing is not required, but would be an advantage.
