UNAVCO Community members,

If you are attending AGU, here are some items of interest:

Please join us at the AGU Geodesy Section Reception:
Tuesday,December 16, 6:30p.m.
San Francisco Marriott, Golden Gate B2.

The reception will be followed by the UNAVCO Business Meeting in the
room next door at 7:30. Bob Detrick, the new EAR Division Director at
NSF, will make some opening remarks.

New this year, on Tuesday to Friday (at the UNAVCO booth in the
Moscone Exhibition Hall) UNAVCO staff will offer presentations on new
data services and technologies. The schedule of presentations can be
found at the end of this message and online at http://www.unavco.org/edu_outreach/highlights/2008/AGU-2008.html
. The presentations will be informal and allow for discussion.
Attending these presentations is a great way to learn about new
techniques, tools, and programs that UNAVCO offers. The presentations
also provide an opportunity for you to interact directly with UNAVCO
staff members. We will have the cell phone list at the booth if there
is someone in particular you would like to find.

A list of many UNAVCO and EarthScope related talks and posters - on
data sets, techniques, science, and education - is available online at http://www.unavco.org/edu_outreach/highlights/2008/AGU-2008.html
. With the addition of LiDAR and TLS, InSAR, strain meters, and other
new capabilities, it was not possible to make a comprehensive list of
all the presentations. This list is a starting point, and the full
Scientific Program is on the AGU website.

We look forward to seeing you in San Francisco!

Meghan
