Postdoctoral Position:

The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Cornell University
seeks a postdoctoral research associate to conduct research using
microwave and optical remote sensing to study the dynamics of temperate
glaciers and post-glacial rebound. One currently funded project involves
collaboration with Dr. Joan Ramage at nearby Lehigh University and could
include some field work. Depending on funding and the postdoc's interests,
other projects might be pursued secondarily. A completed Ph.D. in
glaciology, geophysics, remote sensing, or a related field is required.
Review of applications begins on September 15, 2008, and we anticipate a
start date ASAP. The position is for one year and is renewable, contingent
on funding and performance. Please send a curriculum vitae, publication
list, statement of research interests, and the names of at least three
professional references to: Matt Pritchard, Snee Hall, Cornell University,
Ithaca, NY 14853 or mp337 at cornell.edu. Cornell University is an
Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer and Educator.
