Dear Colleagues,

The CWU Geodesy Laboratory invites applications for a postdoctoral research
position within the Pacific Northwest Geodetic Array (PANGA).

The research will focus on furthering ongoing implementation of a) real-time
data analysis of Cascadia GPS stations, b) geophysical monitoring of
resultant data streams, and c) time-dependent inversion strategies.
Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. in geodesy or seismology and a strong
background in numerical computing. Experience in parameter estimation and
inverse theory is highly desirable. The appointment is contingent upon
evidence of completion of a Ph.D. The annual starting salary for a recent
Ph.D. is US$45,000. Postdoctoral researcher positions are awarded for a
one-year period, but may be renewed in one-year increments contingent on
funding.

The successful candidate will work closely with CWU Geodesy Lab staff in all
research avenues and serve as a resource to students, staff and faculty in a
Master's research program. All software will be implemented in Perl5 and
C/C++; fluency will be expected within 3 months of start of employment. A
complete description can be found at http://www.cwu.edu/~hr/jobs. Send
