Cost Schedule Analyst 

 

UNAVCO is seeking candidates for its Cost Schedule Analyst position.  This
position will work at our UNAVCO office in Boulder, Colorado.  The
successful candidate will work as part of the Plate Boundary Observatory
(PBO) team to monitor and control the PBO project costs using the UNAVCO
performance measurement (earned value) system. 

 

The selected candidate will perform the following functions:

.         Provide accurate and timely data on cost status/trends, and
highlights any unfavorable cost conditions or trends. Recommends prompt and
effective action to correct problems and provides positive feedback for
continuous evaluation of problem areas.

.         Create, monitor, and track detailed travel, equipment, material,
supplies costs.  Create and monitor detailed bill of materials and trip
costs details.  These will be done under the supervision of the PBO Cost
Schedule Manager.

.         Work closely with PBO and UNAVCO staff to provide timely
cost/schedule forecasts and regional budget/schedule troubleshooting. 

.         Assist in preparing monthly updated PBO detailed "rolling wave"
budgets at the task and element of cost level.

.         Provide cost and schedule support for project change orders,
contingency requests, and management reserve transactions as required.

.         Prepare project schedules upon request.

 

The ideal candidate should have an understanding of performance measurement
(earned value) systems and the ability to create, implement and maintain a
cost and schedule control system for a large project using MS Project (or
equivalent) and MS Solomon software.  A bachelor's degree in accounting,
business or similar field in financial management and five or more years of
recent experience in large project cost/schedule control.
