Chair in Satellite Geomagnetism / Geodesy, Institute of Geophysics & Tectonics;
School of Earth & Environment (SEE), The University of Leeds

The University of Leeds seeks to appoint a leadership chair in the area of satellite geomagnetism or geodesy. The university seeks to establish excellence in both research and research-led teaching in the field of satellite remote sensing techniques, which have contributed greatly to the understanding of physical processes both on the Earth’s surface and in its interior. The appointed person will take on a leadership role within the Deep Earth Research Group and will enhance current research strengths in geomagnetism, core dynamics, tectonics, and geodynamics.

Details of start date, salary and start up funds are subject to negotiation and will be in line with the university’s goal of attracting high calibre applicants.

A full job specification will be published shortly; at present we solicit expressions of interest, which should be sent to Prof. Jurgen Neuberg (J.Neuberg at leeds.ac.uk<mailto:J.Neuberg at leeds.ac.uk>) by November 10th.
