faculty leave (3-12 months)
Join the research community in Boulder, Colorado, for
opportunities to conduct research in collaboration with leaders
in earth system science. CIRES fellowships stimulate
interdisciplinary research on campus and in partnership with
NOAA’s Earth System Research Laboratory. The CIRES Visiting
Fellows Program has attracted over 250 scientists from around
the world over the past 45 years.
Visiting Fellows work with CIRES Fellows in research in areas
such as geophysics, geochemistry, geomorphology, atmosphere and
ocean processes, cryospheric processes, ecosystem studies,
regional and global environmental variability and change, global
and regional water cycle, advanced observing systems,
environmental health, science and technology policy research,
and space weather.
