The Department of Earth and Space Sciences at the University of
Washington seeks a postdoctoral researcher with an expertise in InSAR.
The individual will join an innovative research team, including
collaborators at the Cascades Volcano Observatory, who are examining SAR
data along the active Cascade volcanic arc. The successful applicant is
expected to have an extensive knowledge of InSAR techniques and
software, in addition to strong data analysis, code development,
writing, and interpersonal skills. A background knowledge of volcanic
processes and/or modeling abilities are also desirable attributes. A
Ph.D. in geophysics, volcanology, or related field is required. Funding
is available for two years at 100% FTE, assuming satisfactory progress.
The position offers salary commensurate with experience and excellent
benefits. The start date of the position is flexible, although fall or
early winter is preferred. Applications will be reviewed starting
