The IRIS PASSCAL Instrument Center at New Mexico Tech solicits 
applications for a Staff Scientist/Seismometer Specialist for seismology 
support operations.The PASSCAL Instrument Center supports both 
controlled and passive source seismology worldwide with end-to-end 
experiment support services, state-of-the-art portable seismic 
instrumentation, and advanced field and database management tools.

JOB DUTIES:
Primary responsibilities include repair and testing of broadband and 
intermediate seismometers, and maintenance of high-frequency geophones. 
User support and fieldwork are an essential part of the position. Assist 
with other hardware tasks as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree required in Engineering, electronics, or comparable 
field of study. Electronics required. Electro-mechanical feedback 
systems required. Field data-collection systems desired. Must have a
