The School of Earth and Space Exploration (SESE) at Arizona State
University invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar in Remote
Sensing of Large Scale Water Mass Budget Variations.
Applications are invited for one postdoctoral position to work in
collaboration with Manoochehr Shirzaei and Susanna Werth on the
monitoring large scale water mass budget variations using a combination
of InSAR, GPS and GRACE data sets. This research requires
Multitemporal interferometric processing of large SAR data sets
and integration with GPS data.
Analyzing satellite gravity data (GRACE,…).
Inverse modeling of total water storage variations.

The initial appointment is for one year with subsequent annual renewal
for up to two additional years contingent upon satisfactory performance,
the needs of the university, and availability of resources. The start
date is negotiable. This position comes with a competitive salary,
funding for travel, and full health insurance coverage. Minimum
qualifications include a Ph.D. in geophysics, hydrology, or closely
related field by the start date, and a background in radar remote
sensing and/or geophysical numerical modeling. Desired qualifications
include a background in both radar remote sensing and geophysical
numerical modeling, and familiarity with hydrological processes.
