Dear all,

Applications are invited for a NERC-funded Research Associate / Senior
Research Associate for two years, based in the School of Earth Sciences at
the University of Bristol. Closing date for applications is 18th January.
You will use satellite observations to understand the processes
contributing to volcanic unrest and eruption and the implications for
time-dependent hazard.

You will work within the NERC Centre for the Observation and Modelling of
Earthquakes, Volcanoes and Tectonics (COMET) and with the NERC-ESRC funded
STREVA project, which aims to develop and apply a practical and adaptable
framework for volcanic risk assessment. You will also join the
award-winning Volcanology and Geophysics research groups at the University
of Bristol, and will interact with the Cabot Institute. The School of Earth
Sciences was rated joint second in the UK Research Excellence Framework
(REF2014), with 98% of our research output graded as ‘world leading’ or
‘internationally excellent’.
