UNAVCO community,

OSTP writes us that they are celebrating an exciting milestone – last Saturday, President Obama’s Science Advisor, Dr. John Holdren, became the longest-serving Science Advisor in U.S. history. The role was pioneered by FDR’s science advisor.

They are celebrating this accomplishment with the release of a list of 100 examples<https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2016/06/21/impact-report-100-examples-president-obamas-leadership-science <https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2016/06/21/impact-report-100-examples-president-obamas-leadership-science>> of the profound impact that the President’s leadership has had in building U.S. capacity in science, technology, and innovation and bringing that capacity to bear on national goals. They are using the hashtag #SciencePresident.

Linda Rowan carefully reviewed the list so that you could quickly get to the items of interest:
64 earth observations, 65 weather forecasts, 66 water, 68 Arctic, 69 ocean policy, 80 big data, 96 space weather, 100 resilience from natural hazards
