The National Geodetic Survey is looking to hire several entry-level
geodesist trainees to work our our headquarters office in Silver Spring,
Maryland. The applicant must be a U.S. citizen, have graduated within the
last 2 years with a Bachelors degree (or Masters, or  Doctorate degree),
and have specialized experience:

* Processing or collecting Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) data
and/or gravity data,
* Writing code as required to perform data analysis.

The recent graduate selected for this position will
* Serve as a trainee.
* Receive training in processing of geodetic data acquired from Global
Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) equipment.
* Assist in software maintenance, development, testing, debugging, and
refining of National Geodetic Survey (NGS) software to improve GNSS
positions.
* Receive training in collecting absolute and relative gravity survey data,
processing of gravity data surveys collected by other survey groups.
* Assist in software maintenance, development, testing, debugging, and
refining of NGS software to improve geopotential modeling.
