Please note registration for the following short course ends TODAY:
UNAVCO Short Course: Processing and Analysis of Terrestrial Laser Scanning
Instructors: Marianne Okal (UNAVCO), Stephen DeLong (USGS), and Christopher
Dates: October 10-12th, 2017
Location: UNAVCO, Boulder, CO
This 2.5 day course will provide participants with instruction and hands-on
experience in terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) data processing and
analysis.. The course will emphasize data filtering and cleaning, format
and coordinate conversions, creating derivative data products (e.g.,
digital elevation models), and quantitative data analysis approaches.

The class is best suited for earth science faculty, graduate students and
researchers with a beginner to intermediate level of experience with TLS
and whose research interest rely, or will rely, on the use of lidar data.
Application deadline: Tuesday, September 5th, 2017.
The course is limited to 25 participants. Travel support is available and
highest priority acceptance will be given to UNAVCO previously or actively
supported TLS PIs and graduate students.
Participants will have an opportunity to work on their own datasets and
share their results on the last day.
