Program Scientist, NASA Earth Science Division, Washington, DC

This position is located in the Earth Science Division (ESD) in the Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters.

The Program Scientist will manage the portfolio of radar-related and geodetic imaging tasks as well as natural-hazards related research within the Research & Analysis program, typically within the Earth Surface and Interior focus area. In accomplishing these goals, this position involves collaboration and coordination with the disasters element of the Applied Sciences Program within ESD.

Functions as a manager in providing oversight for the operation of airborne instruments, (ii) serving as program scientist for relevant satellite missions and/or airborne campaigns, (ii) developing solicitations, (iv) leading proposal evaluation, (v) monitoring researcher performance, and (vi) coordinating relevant programs within ESD and those of NASA's interagency and international coordination of the programs.
