Workshop Announcement
Modeling earthquake source processes: from tectonics to dynamic rupture
October 8-10, 2018; Pasadena, California, USA

A workshop on “Modeling earthquake source processes: from tectonics to dynamic rupture” will be held on October 8-10, 2018, on the campus of California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA.

The goal of the workshop is to brainstorm future research directions that will enable substantial progress in modeling earthquake source processes. The workshop aims to involve researchers from numerical modeling as well as field observations and lab experiments that provide input and constrains to the modeling. Limited support for travel expenses is available due to funding from the National Science Foundation, with priority for students and early career scientists. More information about the workshop can be found at:

To participate in the workshop, please apply by filling out the following online form by June 15, 2018:

If you cannot attend the workshop but would like to contribute to writing the white paper, please fill out the online form as well.
