The Department of Geology at the University of Kansas seeks applications 
for a 9-month, tenure-track, faculty position in the broad field of 
Applied Geophysics.//We seek an outstanding colleague who uses 
geophysical data, models, and/or develops new algorithms to understand 
geologic processes that affect society, and interfaces with existing 
departmental strengths, such as hydrogeology, tectonics, sedimentary 
geology, paleontology, and glaciology. The successful candidate will be 
expected to establish an externally funded research program, direct 
graduate students, and participate in teaching geophysics at graduate 
and undergraduate levels. In a continuing effort to enrich its academic 
environment and provide equal educational and employment opportunities,
